"He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf."  (2 Corinthians 5:15)

Supporting Nationals (Romania)

Eleos International Ministries helps to support 'National' missionaries who serve Jesus in their own country. We believe they are in the best position to reach their own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They know the language and the culture. They love Jesus and they are committed to their own people. Supporting 'Nationals' is also a very cost-effective way to increase the workers serving in God's harvest field.

Over the years we have helped to pay the salaries of 'national' missionaries who have served in different areas of ministry. We are currently supporting Pastor Nelu Sfechis, who worked many years in the coal mines of Romania. Since 1999, your gifts have allowed us to support Nelu each month to enable him to work full-time as a pastor for one of the Good Samaritan churches. Pastor Nelu shared the following letter with us:

"In a few words I would like to share with you the activities that I have been involved with. Firstly, by the grace of God, I am able to pastor the Good Samaritan Church in Cistei. Secondly, every day from Monday through Saturday I distribute the food for the feeding program in five different places where we feed lost or poor children. Thirdly, I constantly visit the members of the church that I pastor and also the friends who attend the church.

My time is dedicated to serving God each day in the place I have mentioned before. God is working in the hearts of the people and I can see the joy in their faces while receiving answers to prayers. I am glad to be a part of the work and to be a servant of this amazing move that God is doing here in Cistei, Romania.

I close my letter by sharing from the word of God 1 Cor. 1:4-5. "I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus, that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge."

Sincerely, Nelu Sfechis

As God leads and provides, we will continue to look for ways to partner with 'national' missionaries, ministries, and churches to work together to bring the love of Jesus to the people in the countries where He leads us.
